May 1-July 30, 2008  "Inside the Round Barn" and "Fishing at Sunset" are on display at the Central Library located at 40 E. St. Clair Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204.  Please go to the hallway on the south side of the building.  The hallway leads to the west side where there are administrative offices.  These pictures are part of the exhibit of the Riviera Camera Club.  A number of the pictures have previously won top awards.  Library hours are M-Thur 9-9, Fri 9-6, Sat 9-5 and Sun 1-5.

February 17-March 30, 2008, In-Focus at the Anderson Fine Arts Center.  "Inside the Round Barn" is on display at the juried In-Focus exhibit at the Anderson Fine Arts Center, 32 W. 10^th Street, Anderson, IN 46016.  (Corner of 10^th & Jackson downtown Anderson.)  You are invited to the opening reception this Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the Anderson Fine Arts Center.

February 1-February 28 Hilbert Circle Theatre (Indianapolis) "The exhibit is a killer!"  This is a comment regarding the Riviera Camera Club photography exhibit at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.  Come see "Inside the Round Barn" when you go to the Symphony.

News Flash!  Diana Hunter's picture titled Tortoise on the Go took first place in the Digital Art category in the Reformed Presbyterian Witness Creative Arts Contest (2006).  I was not allowed to publish it for a year but now the time is up!

November 16, 2007-January 5, 2008  Original Art-Holiday Style (not Christmas themed) at the Hoosier Salon located at 714 East 65th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220 (1 block east of College Ave on 65th Street).  Come to the opening reception on Friday, November 16th from 6 to 8 PM.  This all members show and sale includes over 91 artists - painting, sculpture, jewelry, glass and mobiles.  Included is the original oil painting titled Winding Stream.

Diana J. Hunter won the top Photography prize for "Inside the Round Barn" on display at the Bona Thompson Memorial Center which is sponsored by the Irvington Historical Society, Inc. and is located at 5350 East University Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46219. This prize is the Robert Selby Merit Prize for Photography.  Hours for the Exhibit are

Governor's Mansion- I was thankful to have two miniature oil paintings selected by the First Lady of Indiana, Cheri Daniels, to be on permanent display at the Governor's Mansion.  They are Distant Bridge and Farm Country.

November 30th, Dec 1, 2, 8 and 9 Celebration of Nature, an art exhibit at the new Earth Discovery Center at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis from 9 AM - 5 PM  Sat and 1 PM - 5 PM on Sun. Opening reception is Friday, November 30th from 6 - 8 PM.  On display are On Top , Dancing and Heading Home.  Note there is a fee to enter Eagle Creek Park.

Directions:  The exit ramp from I-465 to 56^th street is closed.

Directions to the Earth Discovery Center:

From the 56^th Street Park entrance – go to the second left turn (toward the Marina). About halfway to the Marina, take the left turn marked by a sign to the Discovery Center.  Follow the road to the Center.

From the 71^st Street entrance, drive through the park to the first right turn. Then follow directions as above.

Note that the old Nature Center is now closed.

November 2-29 Creative Images Exhibits sponsored by Photo Venture Camera Club at the Indianapolis Artsgarden located in the glass structure above the intersection of Washington and Illinois streets in downtown Indianapolis.  The Artsgarden connects to the Embassy Suites complex and Circle Center Mall.  Opening reception is November 2nd from 7-9 PM.

Artsgarden hours:

Sun: Noon - 6:30 p.m.

There will be more than 80 images from 15 states and five countries.  On display are Great Egret and Fishing at Sunset.

September 9-23, 2007, Indiana Wildlife Artists Annual Exhibit starting their Silver Anniversary.  The award ceremony is on Sunday, September 9, 2007, from 2-4 PM at Minnetrista.  The exhibit may be viewed without cost Monday through Friday 9 AM-5:30 PM, Saturday 9 AM-8  PM and Sunday 11 AM-5:30 PM.

August 8-19, 2007 Indiana State Fair at the Home & Family Arts Building, 2nd floor  News Flash!  "Inside the Round Barn" takes Second Place.  Also, "Dancing" is on display.

March 27, 2007 - March 27, 2008, Exhibit of Hoosier Women Artists, Lt. Governor Becky Skillman's Office, Indiana Statehouse, Room 333, 200 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204.  Featured is the miniature oil painting titled Round Barn.

April 3, - April 28, 2007 Annual Open Photography Competition sponsored by the Kokomo Art Association, 525 West Ricketts Street, Kokomo, IN 46902.  Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 1-4 PM.  Awards Ceremony:  Sunday, April 29th at 2 PM.  On display are Swimming Lady, Posing and Looking Up.  Swimming Lady was the proud recipient of a First Place award.
